Dr. Niroj Kumar Mohalik is a Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR-CIMFR, Dhanbad, with over 24 years of research and more than 10 years of teaching experience in mining, environmental, and safety engineering. His expertise spans mine fire and ventilation, miners’ health and safety, spontaneous combustion, fire chemistry, mine environment, and coal characterization. He has made significant contributions in areas such as mine ventilation optimization, air and noise pollution modeling, dust and gas analysis, and risk assessment. Dr. Mohalik has published extensively, supervised doctoral and postgraduate research, and contributed to books and national and international conferences.
